Ebay!

In case you didn't know, I also love selling junk on ebay. :)

I recently sold this Carter's baby blanket for $20. (Actually, I really think I could have gotten more for it too, but I'll take the 20 anyday.)

This blanket came from a thrift store and it was used - It was not one of Jenna's. But, seriously people - save your baby's blankets, loveys, rattles, clothes etc... People often look for a specific one (like this one) and are willing to pay big bucks for them to replace their child's old favorite lost one. (I, however, think I would probably just have to let Jenna deal with losing it. Mean, I know...)

Anyway, just thought I'd post since we were on the topic of coupons - ebay can also help as well! Have any questions - just ask! :)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ETA: Someone just made me feel like a bad mommy, even if that's not how it was meant to be. So, here is my question to everyone: How much would you be willing to pay if your child lost their favorite lovey? Would you even replace it? Has your child lost something like this and been completely distraught over it?

Just wondering.... Leave me a comment and let me know. :)

You would never let Jenna forget it and do without! She would have an old blankie replaced in a matter of minutes!

Um...proabably not if I had to pay over $50 for something like that. I guess we'll see. BTW, who are you? :)

Madison has a blanket that's literally hanging on by a few threads. She's SIX and it's been HER blanket since she decided she couldn't be without it when she was almost a year old. Even though she LOVES it, I would never pay a ton of money to replace it. I'm ready to pack it away.. she's six for goodness sake! In all honesty, I'm not sure I'd replace a lovey at all unless I could find it easily and cheaply. Children have an incredible ability to transfer to a different object if the need is still there after the old lovey is gone.

I would have paid anything to replace something for Eli. I hated to see him cry when he was smaller, but I'm thankful that he only loved his pacifier, so getting extras were never a problem. The key to it is once you see your babe get attached to something, buy a couple of them for the 'just in case'.

I don't know... my level headed side says "don't replace it!" but the mushy gooshy side says "scavenge everywhere until you find the exact same thing and take out a second mortgage to get it if you have to!!!! Haha! I guess I'm lucky that my little one love blankies-plural- any crocheted balnky will do, so we can keep switching them. My nephew is 7 and still has his duckie, as disgusting, ratty, and germ infested as it is, he loves it!
