Bath Time!

Yep, they both got a bath together tonight! They did really well too (meaning that they both stayed in and didn't jump out!) Afterwards, their true personalities came out - Max started running around playing and Sophie just wanted to be held in the towel. :)

We really love them.

My accomplishment for the day!

I put this shelf together today! I love it! And, it matches perfectly with the bedding! If you're wondering why all the stuffed animals/toys are crammed on the top, it's so Max (specifically Max) won't get into them. :)

I think that's all the toys that we have for now so I'm not sure what else to do with the empty containers. Maybe blankets or things like that? I'm sure we'll be getting more stuff so I bet I won't have too much of a problem trying to fill it up.

I can't wait until her whole room is done now! :)

31 weeks today!

The 3rd trimester has been really easy. In the first one, I was tired all the time and during the second one, I was hungry all the time. But so far, here are my only 2 complaints about this last trimester.

Jenna has found a position that she likes to be in that I think must involve stretching all the way out and jabbing her feet into me. This isn't very comfortable for me. But, it's funny, because it seems like something I would do to. I like to lay diagonally and take up the whole bed, so I'm wondering if she'll do the same thing.

Also, one other bad thing about this last trimester is that I have woken up in the middle of the night with really painful leg cramps/charlie horses. I had another one last night, but thankfully it's only happened maybe 5 times and they only last for a couple of minutes, but just enough to wake me up (not that I've been sleeping that well lately anyway.) Apparently, these are common in the 3rd trimester (according to google) I just haven't heard anyone else say they experienced this.

Nothing else going on...

Ok, so when I have nothing else to blog about, I'm going to just resort to finding a picture and using it. :)

This is JM - in full color. I'm not sure what this picture is all about - but I betcha he's being silly. He can make me laugh and cheer me up like no other - this is one of the million reasons I love him. :) I know he'll be the one that will be entertaining Jenna all the time too. Can't wait for that. :)

Our weekend trip!

At the last minute, we decided to take a little weekend trip to San Antonio. We thought it might be awhile before we were able to do this again so we just went ahead and did it! Of course, we have tons of pictures, but I'm not able to put them up yet, but I will as soon as I can!

We got there late Friday night and of course took the puppies with us. (The pups did great too.) On Saturday morning/afternoon, we went to the Riverwalk. http://www.thesanantonioriverwalk.com/ We did the boat tour which was really neat. We had an awesome tour guide (except he did ask if I was having twins...) We ate lunch at this restaurant that was recommended to us. http://www.mitierracafe.com/ It was so good and we had the best waitress ever! And we also went to see the Alamo.

Later that night, we went shopping at a fabulous mall where I had one of the best shopping experiences I've had in awhile. I picked up a cute mobile and washcloth at Pottery Barn Kids. I rocked out my discount at Gap Maternity and Banana Republic. (I was never a big BR shopper, but just going in there made me miss that store - we don't have one here. ) We went to build a bear and made Jenna a bear and named her Jenna Bear. (It's the bear in the picture.) And we ate at The Cheesecake Factory.
On Sunday, we did a little bit more running around town and stumbled upon this place http://www.nps.gov/archive/saan/home.htm JM was excited because he was able to take even a ton more really neat pics and I got to walk the doggies around. By the time we were done, the dogs were super exhausted and came home still exhausted!
So, we really did have a very fun weekend together! Check back later for the pics!

July 07 page

Yippee! I scrapped last night! I always forget how much I enjoy doing this until I start doing it again and then I want to do more! This is what happened in July - my baby shower.

WFMW: Real Simple Calendar

My mom recently bought me this calendar (except mine is brown) from Target's Real Simple line. It's magnetic so we have on the refridgerator freezer part and is easily accesible at all times. It comes with different color labels, a notepad, a pin board, and an accordian file keeper. The calendar does not have the dates on it, so you can start in the middle of the year if you want and you can also purchase more refillable calendars at Target. Also, once the notepad runs out, you can put another one in there too. JM even commented one time on how he liked it!

Itty Bitty Diapers!

I bought some very cute itty bitty newborn pamper swaddlers today at CVS. CVS had them on sale for 8.99 + I had a dollar off coupon. I think I'm going to have to get more. Anyway, this diaper is so teeny, it's so cute! I was going to try to get a picture but I couldn't find one to show just how small it is and I'm too lazy to go and take a picture myself. They also smell really good - mmmm......baby powder!

I also have the diapers Melissa got me from the shower, so I'll probably get a few more packs and I'm off to a good start!

And, I've bought a couple of cloth fuzzi bunz but they seem so big even though they are a size small that I am sure I can't start out with those. The fuzzi bunz are really cute too! We'll see how I do with the cloth diapers, I guess... :)

Oh, I guess I should add that we've also gotten several things from Wal-Mart like the stroller, swing, pack and play, and high chair and now baby stuff is starting to fill up our house. And, with me buying diapers today it definitely seems a lot more real now. Only about 8-10 more weeks now....crazy!

Sophie's new thing

She has started licking Max in the face. It's so cute. He just stands there too and she licks the side of his face for a good 10 seconds. I wish I could get a video or picture of it, but then of course she'll stop. I think she really loves him. :)

Today...

I had my 4D ultrasound done. Must say that I'm a bit disappointed. Jenna was not in the completely right position and she kept her hands over face the entire time. I will have to post the ones that we got later.

I received the crib bedding set from Cindy. Thank you so much Cindy! I still am absolutely in love with it! (It's the Pottery Barn Kids Lexi set.) We ordered the furniture last week so I can't wait to put it on and try to find a rug to go with it. I will definitely post pics once we get that done too! So, a HUGE shout out and THANKS to Cindy again!!!!

Found a new thrift store just as they were closing, but it looks like it could be a fun one! :)

Got another FREE toothpaste from CVS - it's the little things that keep me happy.

29 weeks today!

29 weeks- absolutely blows my mind!

We are getting the 4D ultrasound tomorrow and I'm super excited about that. On one of our regular ultrasounds, we have a picture of her face (not the best obviously) but when I looked at it, I just thought of JM. I have a feeling she is going to look like him. We are in constant wonder now of what this little girl is going to be like. JM and I are so different on so many levels that it'll be interesting to see what she likes to do. I just really hope she's not messy and she likes to read. :)

WWFM Wednesday - Coupons and CVS!

I have a new obsession now - it's coupons and CVS (like Walgreens, if you don't have one.) However, if you are fortunate enough to live by a CVS and you don't shop there, then I must say, that you are really missing out!
What's so great about CVS? Well, they give Extra Care Bucks back for certain items you buy - these are coupons for a certain amt. off your next purchase. When you combine the ECB (extra care bucks) and regular coupons, you can really get things cheap or my favorite, FREE!
I went yesterday and only spent 5.94 and for that - I got all of this:
2 Lysol cleaning products (2 for $5 and had .50 coupon for each)
Excedrin (free after coupon and CVS sale!)
greeting card for Blake
2 baby bottles (Buy one get one 50% off)
2 mens deodorant (this generated my only $6 in ECB, and also had $1 off coupon)
toothpaste
After all of my coupons and all of my previously earned ECB, I only spent 5.94 for all of that! I'm hooked now - it's like a game to me. I can't wait to see what I can do next week! :) (yes, I'm a dork now...)

9/11

Wow - It's been 6 years already?!? I don't know what I was thinking, but obviously it has been.

I was in college. JM had come to visit and was staying over at my friend's Joe who lived in ironically the dorm called Twin Towers.

I went to my class, Math for Teachers, (a class that I hated) and I remember people talking about it, but having no idea what was really going on. After that I met JM for lunch and I remember him saying he woke up to someone saying something about the Twin Towers and he was scared because he thought it was about the dorm. JM left after lunch.

We all went into Shannon's room and watched CNN. I still really had no idea of the impact of what had happened. After that, I had a job interview for TJ Maxx and I had to go get gas. Gas suddenly rose to over $2 (I don't remember the exact amt, but I remember everyone going crazy over it.)

I remember that day as clear as water. :(

Just trying this out - one of the good things about blogger is you can directly upload pics from Picasa (a photo program that we already have). Now, if I could just somehow get my old archives on here and a cute new header then I would be all set! I'm still working on the heading so expect that to change too.

Anyway, about this pic - it was taken in late June at a pizza place for a get together for the new residents/interns.
