I didn't know this until after I had started working at Gap last year so I thought this might be something else neat to share. On every other customer's receipt prints out a discount survey. I know it's 10% at Old Navy but I think they changed the Gap one (and I haven't really been back there since I quit.)
So, anyway, whenever I'm at Old Navy and I'm making a purchase I always try to look and see if the customer that is ringing up then is going to get the survey or not. Then, I figure up if I would get it or not based on the every other customer rule. And then, if there is a long line, sometimes I will even step out of it for a minute, let someone in front, and get back in just to get the survey. (I'm sneaky...) :)
But every 10% helps right? :)

Wow - I wondered why I got it sometimes and sometimes I didn't. Good to know - thanks! :)
Sneaky in a good way!
Thanks for this! I never noticed that I didn't get the survey each time. I live two blocks from Old Navy so sometimes I'll just buy one item on clearance, score the survey, then return to buy the rest of my items with the coupon.
I've never thought of doing that!
Good tip! love your blog, so happy and colorful! I will tuck this tip away for the next trip to GAP or ON!
