Excuse the yucky spit up and mis-matched socks! :)

I just HAD to show yall what she is wearing for the trip today. This is one of the outfits my mom got at Gap before Jenna was born. It is THE perfect outfit for the occasion, don't ya think?

Ok, I'm going now....À tout à l'heure :)

day 58

I hate packing... I should be packing right now. I always seem to put it off til the very end. I don't know why. I just hate it. I always feel like I'm going to forget something. I started on Jenna's first because hers was much easier! She got new winter clothes so it's not like she is wearing them here!

Anyway, we are leaving for our AR/OK trip tomorrow. Jenna is getting baptized Sunday and it's also JM's parents anniversary weekend. We are going to be doing a lot of driving, but I am excited to show off Jenna to lots more family and friends that she hasn't gotten to meet yet. So, if anyone is around our area, we'd love to see you! :)

ETA: As for my daily photos, I'm still going to try and take them at least with our p&s, but I probably won't get around to posting them here. :)

WFMW; Buying electronics and such...

The credit to this idea all goes to JM (my hubby.) He's been doing this for years and years now, but I would have never thought of doing it on my own.
Whenever he is in an electronics type store (like Best Buy) and he is thinking about making a purchase but he just can't decide if he really wants to or not - he goes over to the computers and gets on the internet and checks the ratings and reviews to help make up his mind.
Anyway, just a neat idea, if you're out and in the same situation!

day 57

Last night, after Jenna went to sleep and the dogs went to bed (they go to bed without us now!) JM worked on his slideshow for his parents and I decided to tackle this litle project I had been wanting to do. JM was listening to Michael Bubble and I was sitting next to him at the dining room table and it was just such a good time - us working independently side by side while still sharing our time together. I love those little moments like that.

Anyway, see all of the gorgeous buttons? Those were Nanny's. She really had the prettiest and most unique buttons I've ever seen. They by far surpass the expensive scrapbook buttons. This was really one of the neatest things she ever gave me. And of course, since they were hers, this just makes it even more special. I'm sure there were tons of stories behind all those buttons (I still have a lot more) and it would have been neat to know what all the buttons were for, if the clothing was worn for special occasions, where they were purchased, etc...

And as far as the other things, I got the case display on clearance at Michael's from Martha Stewart collection. And the J is just a scrapbook letter.

I really need help on hanging it. The bow kept coming undone as soon as I tried to hang it up. Anyone have any ideas for how to hang it better? Or if I should take off the ribbon completely and just find another way?

I really think it's cute and I actually like something I made for a change. :)

Well, welcome to the Jenna paloozafest again!
But, she had another first today. We went to the park and she got in the swing. She loved it. She laughed her little laugh. The weather has been beautiful here (I even heard it was in the 90's somewhere close by) but it was so incredibly windy that we didn't stay too long. I can't wait until she gets a little bit bigger and we can do this more often!

My blog just got pimped

This was my surprise of change I was talking about! What do you think? I love it! It is SO me!!!
If you want your blog "pimped", I highly suggest Jennisa! She was very fast and efficient! :)

Jenna's 1st beach trip!

We went to the beach today with another family. Jenna enjoyed sitting in her bumbo and did a lot of people/sand/water watching! There was another little girl there that adores Jenna. She would talk to her and shake her hand and Jenna would just smile and try to babble to her. It was too cute! The water was actually too cold to for her to get in. As it was time to go home, she was exhausted and fell asleep bundled up in my arms.
JM and I have decided that we will definitely miss the warm weather and beach. It will be hard to leave that behind, no doubt at all - I just have to keep thinking about the other fantastic things, like shopping and more to do, etc....!

photo 54

We went to the beach today and it was my first time to see a jellyfish! There were tons and tons of jellyfish - kinda scary!

LOVE This one!

Jenna and I had a mini photo shoot and I didn't want to blog more of her pictures, because I don't want people to get tired of seeing her all the time. But, I love this picture, and I figure it's my blog, I'll do what I want. :)

Coming soon....

Change!!!!

I'm going to keep it a secret, so you'll have to stay tuned.... :)

photo 53

Socks are a must around here. I don't let Jenna go bare foot unless she is wearing her baby legs. She wears socks all the time. But, this is exactly why I hate most of our socks - because they usually end up like this. GRRRR!!!

ETA: I just noticed in the Jenna bear pic she doesn't have socks but that's because we were in the middle of a clothing change. :)

Jenna's 14 week pic!

Jenna's 14 week Jenna bear pic!
This picture just cracks me up. She makes that face a lot and I love how her arm is resting on the bear.
Anyway, this post is a bit more about me than her.
I'm starting to feel like I know exactly how to take care of her - what she needs etc....
*When she needs to burp, she gets really fidgety - moving her legs and neck and whimpering some. The best way to burp her is to bend her stomach in a sitting up position. I think JM started this, but now I do it just about every time.
*When she wakes up, most times it takes her a few minutes to fully wake up. This is exactly how I am. I don't talk much in the morning and I just need some time. JM is the exact opposite.
*When she starts to get tired, she gets cranky. Again, just like me. It's hard to explain how she is when she is tired, but I can always tell.
*Also, right before she falls asleep, she likes to put her arm above her head and make a fist. And if I lay her down for bed and she is still a bit fidgety, I give her the paci - if she takes it, then she is usually going straight to sleep.
*When she is tired, she also likes to be held and for me to walk around with her. That usually always stops the crying, but my legs get tired!
I think these are the major things right now. She is truly a sweet baby and I love spending every day with her. :)

photo 51

I'm pretty sure this doesn't qualify as a "good" picture, but I just can't get enough of her smile.

One of the reasons that I really wanted to learn better photography is so that I can take some cute pictures in my own style of her too. Right now it's really hard because she doesn't sit up and there really aren't that many background choices we have to choose from here. I can't wait til she gets bigger and we can go outside and take all of those "fun" shots. I think she has already learned to pose for the camera though. :)

WFMW - Shopping website!

I found this awesome shopping website that features a designer every week and has major clearance prices! This week the designer is Bejeweled by Susan Fixel - last week it was Ed Hardy.

A couple of weeks ago, I bought 3 Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bags for between $55 and $59! (I am going to sell the other ones.) They were shipped within 5 days!

You have to be a member to get in - so when you register you need to use my email - it's on my profile page. :)

So, I guess I should actually say the site, huh? It's www.regentssecret.com

Have fun shopping!

JM's post-call shoes

As for JM having call, I think I'm finally getting used to it. I still hate it (and the day after), but having Jenna around keeps me much busier than before! And I know he's got it pretty good - it could be worse. (I'm thinking of you, Christy and every 4th night.) So, this is our life right now - but, it's only temporary. :)

This is my Target clearance find from a couple of days ago. It was originally 32.99 and I got it for 75% off making it $8 and some change. I love glass vases - but we really don't have to many places to put them right now. This one is in my bathroom on the counter. I'm thinking about maybe putting a candle inside it - but what can I put to go around the candle? Any other ideas on what I can put inside it?

I met TLC's Trading Spaces Frank Bielec!

JM and I went to the home and garden expo here because I knew Frank was going to be there and I really wanted to see him. Apparently, he's from Texas and really enjoys this area down here.

He spoke for about an hour and ten minutes and was really funny and very down to earth and just a very "real" kind of guy. He talked mostly about the show and life in general more than about decorating. He said that homes should be comfortable and functional. And more importantly, he talked about sharing the spaces with the ones you love. He even has a couple of dogs that they decorated around. And he told us a sad story, about how he had a daughter that was killed in a car accident and the day before, she came to him and asked him to help her do something and he really wanted to tell her no, but he said he had a voice that kept telling him to just do it and he did - and of course he was so glad that he spent the time with her. It was really kind of sad - but his point was to just enjoy the time with the people around you. He was really a good speaker.

Oh, and something else I found interesting was that he was a first grade teacher before this. I'm still not sure how he ended up doing the show because he mentioned he really wasn't an interior decorator.
Anyway, it was a really neat experience!

Just to show she's not always happy....
JM decided that we should take some photos together this morning so he broke out the fancy lights and the background and we began taking pictures of my tulips he gave me. I got easily bored with that so we moved on to Jenna. He got some really cute shots of her - that hopefully he'll blog as well, so check out his blog later. :)

This is obviously not the best picture, but the camera battery died after a couple of shots, and I'm too lazy to do anything else about it today! :)

Jenna is 3 months today!

She has quite a busy day today. We went and saw daddy at work and showed her off to more people. She loved the attention. She smiled and just looked all around and was a really happy baby the whole time. After that, Jenna and I went to the mall. And then tonight, JM and I are going to babysit another residents' kids.

Anyway, I can't believe she is already 3 months! I love her so much! :)

Happy Valentine's day!

Jenna also wanted to tell everyone Happy Valentine's day!
Isn't she cute in her little outfit from Nana? :)

In honor of V-day, I made JM a cake with these cute red hearts on top. :)

Look what JM brought home today!

Tulips are my favorite flower and I don't think I've ever gotten an assortment of colors - I love them!

The lion is for Jenna.

I *heart* John Michael! :)

He's got the whole world in his hands....
This was the first thought that came to my mind. :)

YAY tv tonight!!!

One of my favorite reality shows of all time is starting tonight - Big Brother! I've been a loyal viewer since Season 2, so I'm totally looking forward to it again.

Also, my other favorite realitly shows come on tonight as well - The biggest loser and American Idol. But, our dvr can only record 2 at a time and you can't watch another live tv channel during it, so I think I'm going to have to cut AI out tonight. :(

Anyone else watch BB?

I went to Michael's craft store yesterday and am now working on 2 different things for Jenna's room. I've been wanting her name in letters tied on ribbon to put on her door. All I wanted to do was paint them this pretty pink but yet I've already messed them up. They stuck to my newspaper so now they have little bits of paper on them. So, I'll probably have to go back and buy more letters. I should have just bought the fancy ones on ebay. I haven't started my other little project, but at this rate, I'm very discouraged. It's just another thing that makes me feel like I'm not good at anything.

I got these cute little Valentine's in the mail yesterday. They are from my 2 favorite little Valentine's ever - Madison and Michael! They both wrote me a sweet little note on the inside too. So cute! Thank you Madison and Michael!!! I miss you both so much! :)

Baby J and me!

JM also took some really cute pics of me today so I though I'd share these as well. Now, I usually don't like pics of myself, but I really do think these are cute! :)
And it's only Saturday night, but we've had a great weekend so far! I bought 3 pairs of shoes at Dillards 75% off sale. JM went and saw Rambo with Bryce (another resident) and then we all wemt to Chili's to eat.
JM is also excited to be done with Internal medicine for another 4 weeks! And I'm probably just as excited about this as well!!! :)
How is your weekend so far? What have you done? :)

photo 40

I don't think we have enough pics of just JM and Jenna - especially now when she is so little - so I want to try and snap as many as I can of the 2 of them. :)

photo 39

I really did take this pic yesterday. :)

I was just too lazy to upload and post. I went to bed at 8:45!

Jenna's 12 week pic

Jenna's 12 week Jenna bear pic!

I waited until close to 7 pm to take her pic and I don't think she's too happy about it. I still think she looks cute with a little pout though.

At 12 weeks:
*she really loves to suck on her hand. I'm wondering if this is what I get for not using the paci more - Should I do anything about it? I don't want her to be a thumb sucker.
*she has a completely unpredicatble sleep schedule that is driving me crazy! She only gets up once during the night and we've made it 3 nights without getting up at all! Her naps are really unpredicatble. I'd love for her to be on a schedule.
*She laughs and smiles a lot. She smiles whenever I come to pick her up and that just always gets to me.
*She loves to be held all the time. She doesn't like for me to be out of her sight. This makes it really hard for me to get things done. I know, I really need to figure out how to use my ergo carrier!
*now wearing 3-6 months clothes! So excited about this!

photo 38

JM is on call tonight so I decided to treat myself to Sonic.

There is really nothing better than a big Sonic drink! They are the best drinks ever! My favorite is a Cherry Vanilla Coke.

Do you have a favorite Sonic drink? :)

This is the duck - one of our doggies' favorite toy.

We got it right when we got Sophie - so 4 years ago. And as long as we have the dogs, I'll never want to get rid of it.

The duck started out as Sophie's favorite toy and then Max came into our lives and he loved it as well. Lately, Sophie just hangs out and lets Max do whatever he wants. She doesn't really play by herself much, but this morning I saw her just swinging this duck all around on the carpet by herself. It was really the cutest thing. She looked so happy (she usally looks so sad lately.) And it makes me love this tattered and torn ducky even more.

WFMW - Online shopping!

I love online shopping! Mostly I'm just browsing, but I have bought a few things. Here are my favorites:

http://www.bodenusa.com/
http://www.gymboree.com/
http://www.hannaandersson.com/
http://www.blogger.com/www.ebay.com
http://www.gap.com/
http://www.blogger.com/www.forgetmenotkids.com
http://www.achildscloset.com/
http://www.janieandjack.com/
http://www.anthropologie.com/
http://www.piperlime.com/

Ok, I *think* this might be it. I'm probably missing something, but these are my top faves for sure! And yes, most of them have to do with kids clothing! :)

What are your favorite online stores?

I'm not very inspired by the photo taking today, but I've been thinking about this:
You know how they say, "the grass is always greener..." Well, maybe in our case it should be "the rocks are always shinier..." or something like that. :)
This is of course our fence and on the other side is our neighbor's backyard (which is also the owner of our house.) If you look closely, you can see the blue specks - that is their pretty swimming pool. They also have some type of neat cabana area, a little picket fence area for their small doggies, and a nice landscaped yard.
We have a bunch of rocks and some weeds....
See where I'm going with this?
Maybe one day we'll be the one on the other side of the fence. Here's to dreaming of the future... :)

Thank You Nana! :)

My mom mailed Jenna a big Valentine's box today. She got the onesie, headband, bear, and knitted the blanket. I think she started knitting the blanket for my future baby before I was even pregnant. Good thing Jenna was a girl, huh? The onesie says, "you can call me Princess." Anyway, Jenna thanks you! She loves it all! :)

Communal Fries

This is one of our little things together that I always want to remember. We went to MickeyD's tonight and whenever we both get french fries, we just dump them all on the tray together and share them. We call this our communal fries. :)

Please excuse the ugly pants.
I had this pic rotated several times so I'm not sure what is wrong. I'm tired of messing with it!
It's that time again!
I'm breaking out the flip flops and nail polish! I love my flip-flops! And the nail polish is OPI's My chihuahua bites. :)

Yes, Jenna - Tiara's do make you taller. :)
I'm so excited! Yesterday and today, I've put Jenna in 3-6 stuff. Now, I know most people would probably be sad that their baby is outgrowing the 0-3 clothes, but obviously I'm not like most people! I'm happy because she has tons and tons of cute 3-6 stuff! Have you ever noticed how 3-6 is like the most popular size?
And, she was totally cheesin it up for the camera. :)
