How I shop Gymboree!

I think it's no secret that everyone knows how much I love to buy clothes for Jenna. One of my favorite stores is Gymboree and it makes up the majority of her closet probably. Today they had an amazing sale and I got some of the brand new watermelon stuff. The sale runs through 6/6 and it's 30% off everything. I also had a 30% coupon that expired today and I was able to use that as well. (There are 20% coupons still out there that don't expire yet.)

So, rule #1 for me is that I don't pay full price for anything there. If you know when and how to shop there, you can find some amazing deals.

See the plaid shorts? I absolutely love them. I had to have them. They were $22.75 originally. They are also having a $10.00 off shorts promotion (not sure how long that goes til) and then with the 30% sale and my 30% off coupon, the grand total for these cute shorts came to $6.24.

And don't you love her expression in the next pic? At least, she was standing still. Standing still in one picture out of a hundred is always a miracle. Anyway, I love this next top too. I was going to get another pair of shorts for it but they were sold out of those, but I really wanted the top so I got it anyway. I'm actually thinking it's kind of cute with these shorts too. I'm not sure though? Any opinions on these two together? Really, I don't mind if you say you don't think it looks good together. I just need opinions. :)

Isn't the back just oh so cute?? And excuse her hair, she had some major nappy bed-hair today. :)

And this next sweater, I managed to get for a grand total of $3.35! Now that I know spring means it's still cold here, it'll be for next spring.

And seriously, that's all I got. :)

Jenna's Saturday

I don't know what's gotten into me but I just haven't felt like blogging lately. Nothing really has been going on, but then again most of my blog posts lately aren't too exciting anyway. Anyway, I took a lot of pics of Jenna today and started missing blogging so I thought I'd post them. Again, nothing too exciting around here.

JM is on call this week. On the weekends, he has to go in and today he got home at 3:30 - so it's much better than last year's version of call. However, since he's been home he's gotten paged a couple of times and is currently on the phone talking about a patient. But still, I'd much rather have it this way than last year! (And honestly I guess Cindi is the only one who knows what I mean - so I'm not sure why I'm explaining this....) :) Anyway, since he was gone this morning, Jenna and I went to the mall. She was an excellent shopper for me today so we stayed a bit longer.

She loves, loves, loves, the carousel. She starts screaming every time she sees it. Even when she's on the second floor, she still points at it and I could have sworn today she said, "horses!" (not completely for sure about that one though.) Anyway, she had a blast riding it!

We went to the play area that is right beside the carousel. It started going again so she had to watch. Too cute. Oh, and see her hair?? It's hard for me to believe now that for the longest time she was bald and I couldn't even imagine her with hair. Now it's getting really long and when I sit with her, I love to play with it and she lets me. It still seems a bit fine though and I still think she definitely has JM's hair type.

And then we stopped for lunch at Sonic. I started something bad with her - I gave her ketchup once and now I think she is obsessed with it. (Can you see it on her mouth?) Anyway, I think she'd rather just eat the ketchup than whatever else she is eating.

After nap and JM getting home, we all went to the pool. I think this is my absolute favorite swimsuit she has so far. It's really cute! The water was once again freezing cold, so it wasn't much fun.

Anyway, that was our Saturday. Hope everyone else had a good day too!

Squeak, squeak....

I put Jenna in the pack and play every morning in our room so I can take a shower. When I got out today, I heard something squeaking and she was being really quiet, so I had to peek around the corner to see what was up. We have this book called "Goodnight Kisses" It's a lift the flap book and one page it has an animal that you push the nose and it squeaks. She loves that page. She's always been fascinated by it.

So, when I got out, I saw that she had this in her hand and was just squeaking it over and over.

And then I saw this....... Yes, that's the book. She was bound and determined to figure out where the squeaker was and find it!

So, the once loved book now looks like this. See that bug animal? That's where the squeaker was - under his nose.

And speaking of squeakers, she finally got to wear her Mooshu's out today. I think these are possibly the cutest shoes ever. We've had them for a while, but they were too big at first and she is now growing into them. But since we've had them, Jenna would love to wear them around here and run up and down the hall and listen to them squeaking! My mom said that the next thing is she'll try and get the squeaker out of these. Let's hope not!!

Jiggle Jam at the Crown Center

On Sunday, we went to this huge event called Jiggle Jam at the Crown Center. It's a musical thing for kids, but they also had a lot of playing areas and vendor areas.

They had this area where you could take your child's picture with either the princesses or the princes and then you could email them your best photo and enter it to get on the cover of a local kids magazine. HAHA on us. It was just like the Easter Bunny/Santa Claus all over again. As soon as we got over there, she started crying and reaching out her arms. We even stayed for a few seconds to see if she would stop, but she didn't. So, we thought we'd come back on the way out and try it again - and I swear, as soon as we stepped into the little area, she remembered and started screaming before we even went near them. Geez...we were only trying to make her a cover model...

They had this pink car that she really loved and kept turning the wheel. And JM being JM.

We also went into the Crown Center shopping area and they had this really neat lego display. There were so many different things - like a person looking in a mirror, a monopoly game box, and all sorts of things that were all made out of Lego's. I have no idea how they would even start to make something like that.

She loves to push the stroller - anyway, she can.....

Hope yall had a great Memorial Day weekend!

It's time for another Flashback Friday!! Had so much fun with the last one that I just have to do it again (and will probably even more!) All of these pictures are from May 4 years ago.

Another one of my favorite pictures with me and Cindy. Monday (I believe it's Monday?) is her 4 year anniversary! Happy Anniversary Cindy and Arthur. Didn't she make such a beautiful bride?? (Her reception room was absolutely freezing and someone took pity on me and gave me their jacket.)

And also 4 years ago this week was our first nephew's grand entrance into this world! Hard to believe he's 4 now! And look at JM - and that necklace?!?! What was he thinking?? LOL

And another 4 years ago picture of me and Whitney - this was my wedding shower at our school. (Before Jenna, I was an elementary school teacher for 3 years.) Whitney emailed me yesterday and said that today was their last day of school!! (I remember that excitement!) And she also told me that our first graders from our very first class had their 5th grade promotion the other day. That doesn't even seem possible either.

And I found this picture and it's also from 4 years ago. It was when JM was in med school and he titled this album, "Boards are done." We met up with his classmates at the Gray Snail bar in Tulsa. One of my first graders dad was the bouncer there. Yep, that was just a wee bit akward.... Gosh, that really seems like a long time ago now.

4 years.....It's really seems like time has just flown by. It's amazing how much can change in 4 years.

What were you doing 4 years ago?

Thursday Tidbits

We had the UPS guy stop by our place today and it was a complete suprise to me. Usually JM tells me if he is expecting anything and I knew I wasn't and certainly not anything as big as these boxes. BUT, they had all 3 of our names on them, so I knew it was ok to open them up. And it was like a mini-Christmas!

We (ok, well Jenna) got this rug and princess sign from her GrandDude. This rug is so cute! We have a play area in our basement that I've been wanting to fix up and make it look nice (instead of just a bunch of toys together which is how it is now) so I'm thinking this rug may be a good start! I've also been thinking about getting her some kind of small table - but would I want to put the table over the rug?? I seriously need somene to just come and decorate for me because I'll linger on these silly decisions and it'll take forever.

I love to go peek at Jenna while she is sleeping. I can usually find her in some of the craziest positions and I love that today she decided to hug her Jenna pillow. Isn't that the cutest?

And just like her mommy and daddy, Jenna LOVES her laptop. And see the cute outfit? Good thing I got a before picture. (And I had to throw this picture in because she is actually looking at me, sitting still and smiling....we call that a miracle with my camera.)

After going out to eating and then playing outside, Jenna was filthy. I should have taken an "after" picture with the outfit to show, but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

It was a good Thursday here. This week has gone by so fast!

I'm excited about the new tv tonight - So you think can dance? and the new show on Soap Net - Southern Belles. Anyone watching those?

Goodbye Cold!

Some of these pictures are from last night, but we didn't get home til 9 and all I wanted to do when we got home was watch the Dancing with the Stars finale results. And omigosh - I'm shocked. I really thought Gilles was going to win! I wanted him to win! I liked Shaun too - but I really liked Gille and Melissa better!

Anyway, this first picture is so small because I think I messed up and it's supposed to be a video, but it's all I got of it. Jenna was so cute after Gymboree class yesterday holding one of her little friend's hands. It was too cute!

We spent most of the day out yesterday. After Gymboree and then Jenna's nap, we went over to a little playdate and then when JM got home we went back out and went to the park for a while. Since it was close to dinner time, we had a picnic there! Look at Jenna sitting like such a big girl at the table!

And see this cute outfit? Well, I really thought it was cute - but I have to admit that the bows were getting on my nerves. They won't stay tied - any suggestions for keeping them tied?

And the rest of these are from today -

We went to a playdate this morning and Jenna got her first scratched up knee. It's funny because some of the boy momma's were just talking about this in Gymboree yesterday and I really didn't think I'd have to worry about Jenna getting one so soon!

And our pool opened!! Jenna got in for just a second, but it was way too cold, so we mainly hung out and watched some of the older kids.

Isn't her little ladybug swimsuit so cute? It's a bit big in the shoulders, but if I'm sure it'll be fine in a month or so. So far, she has a total of 3 swimsuits - I'm just a sucker for cute little girl swimsuits. It's a shame we don't live by the beach anymore....Sigh.....

So, I think it has FINALLY warmed up here and hopefully the cold weather is gone for a long time! I'm so ready for warmer temps! It's been a lot of fun being able to play outside too!

Just bee-ing us

We started off the Sunday with lunch at Fazoli's. I know it's kind of hard to see here, but Jenna started sticking the wrong end of her fork in her mouth being silly so JM started doing it too. (yes, I know, we're teaching her good table manners!) And if you click the picture and see it bigger, the lady in the background seems to be staring at them, oh well.... :) Like father, like daughter....

Later on, I went to the grocery store by myself and came home to find literally probably hundreds of bees around this tree. I saw them as soon as I pulled up and there were 2 other guys out there looking at them. It was crazy how they weren't there when I left and about an hour later, there were hundreds! It was kind of scary, so JM called right away and we got them taken care of!

Later on we went to the park since JM had a photo session there. Anyway, no real reason for the next picture except to show you the cute J shirt. :)

"No, I'm sorry, my daddy can't talk to you right now - he's too busy coloring." Dinner at California Pizza Kitchen!

Like mother, like daughter..... :) We both got the Hawaiian pizza. Jenna loves the pineapples (and yes, I cut them up for her.)

Hope you had a good weekend! :)
