Hardin Happenings: 10 on 10

10 on 10 - 10 pictures for the 10th of the month

It's 2013, a new year, and I really want to try to get back to doing this again this year! Now, our day really wasn't anything too special, but every time I look back on these, I realize just how much I love documenting the small moments too. Things change so quickly and it's always fun to see what was going on at a specific time. So, with that said, here is what is going on around here for January 10, 2013!

Well, something really special did happen today! I hired a couple to paint baby girl's new room. This was the before picture. (I wasn't going to take any pictures of them actually painting - I thought that would be weird.)

It only took them 2 hours to paint! During that time, Jenna worked a puzzle, watched some tv, and did a few art papers. I cleaned and helped her with the puzzle.

AND.....this is a sneak peek of the after shot. I LOVE IT! Since everyone pretty much knows I'm re-using Jenna's PB bedding, I'm including that in the picture. I'm so excited and so happy to be able to re-use this! Anyway, I love the new paint and I think it makes a huge difference. You all probably know by now that I'm so bad about making decorating decisions and I don't consider myself good at this at all. This room now goes against the grain of the rest of the house with the wall colors. But, I really want to try and make a cute nursery. And at the end of it all, I figure it's just paint and can be easily changed!

I also think I've mentioned before, but I seem to go through lunch phases when eating at home. I get stuck on one thing for a little bit. Right now, I'm loving this bread. It's pepperidge farm onion and I've been using it for my ham and cheese sandwiches. It's SOOOOO good.

Also, I've been wanting more and more water lately and less cokes! YAY for that. I have also been loving the little crystal light packets that make the water flavored. I hope this sticks around after pregnancy too.

I'm currently reading Gretchen Rubin's Happier at home book. I agree with a lot of her thoughts and find it all really interesting. I started reading her blog when we lived in KC. I think I heard she was also from KC, so I thought it was a neat, random connection.

Santa brought Jenna this new easel. One side is like a magna-doodle and the other is the regular magnetic white-board with paint clip. It was going to go downstairs in the playroom, but it hasn't made its way down there yet. I've noticed there are lots of times when she just enjoys being around me and she loves playing in this open kitchen space. (It's usually not in the middle of the kitchen though.) Anyway, she has been playing with it at least once a day while I'm usually doing things like cooking, cleaning, etc.., that I just don't want to move it yet.

I made a new crock-pot dinner tonight. It is called crock pot ravioli casserole and the link is here. It was really good and I think we will definitely be having this one again! And not to mention, it's super easy, and well that's my style! :)

I'm 23 weeks today!! Wow, just typing that still puts me in shock. This is my fun little self-portrait belly shot. We really haven't taken ANY belly pictures yet, but I think we should probably start soon. I also had an ob apt yesterday and we heard the heartbeat. Everything still seems to be going well and well, maybe this is really happening?!?!
