I know....It's only a week later and I'm just now posting a few pics from our V-Day.....
This was actually Feb. 13th, since Jenna didn't have school on the actual Valentine's Day.
Her class party. She was actually a bit on and off sick this week and I was worried that she wouldn't even be able to go to her party. This is a totally fake smile too, if you couldn't tell.
Her class did a few cute songs and a poem together.
And on the night of Feb. 13th, JM also brought me this beautiful bouquet of flowers. His card said something like, "I don't need a day to tell you that I love you." :)
And on the actual Valentine's day - Jenna started running a temp again and she was nice enough to share with me this time.
I mentioned a few posts back about trying to start a new Valentine's tradition. I simply just set the table like this. I was going to have a cute themed breakfast or take her out for fun doughnuts, but since we weren't feeling well, that just didn't happen. Oh well, at least this is a start. Anyway, she was really excited to see this and she may have mentioned something about the Easter bunny coming.....(ha, yep, getting the holidays mixed up since we never really did much for V day before.)
I had an eye exam that morning and we had a few other errands to run. So, by they time we got back home, this was Jenna....She rarely falls asleep in the car anymore and now afternoon naps have become a sign that she isn't feeling well. I can't carry her much anymore, so she woke up and immediately came in and fell asleep on the couch. We both took naps that afternoon!
So, our Valentine's day wasn't anything real exciting. We tried to make the best of it though.

Love the fake smile!! The absolute best picture is of her asleep, reminds me of when she would take naps in the car when we went shopping!!
I am not a big fan of how Valentine's Day has become...I've always thought if you are doing it right, you shouldn't need a specific day :)
